Description
Acacia honey stands out for its delicate, gently sweet taste and crystal-clear look. It stays runny for a long time and is slow to crystallise. Hungarian acacia honey has been a Hungarikum (an official Hungarian national treasure label) since 2014.
Characteristics
Why people love it
- Its mild, gently sweet taste appeals to almost everyone, kids included (from the age of one)
- Stays runny for a long time, so it's easy to spoon out
- A favourite in an evening cup of tea
- Hungarian acacia honey is a Hungarikum
How to use it
In tea, with desserts, or on its own, straight from the spoon.
Goes well with
For cakes, pancakes (palacsinta) and yoghurt. Good for baking too, as its mild taste doesn't overpower the other ingredients. Only stir it into tea once the tea has cooled to lukewarm.
