    A story that began in the 1960s

    Behind every jar of our honey there's a story. Not the story of a company, but of a family – and it began much longer ago than you might think.

    A father and the first hives

    In the 1960s, Ágnes's father took up beekeeping. He learnt what bees teach anyone who lets them come close: patience, attention and humility towards a community that has known what it's doing for far longer than we have. Back then, nobody imagined it would one day become a family tradition – but the love of bees stayed in the family.

    Then came a meeting

    One day, Ágnes's and László's paths crossed. They joined their lives together, and with that, the bees became part of their shared story too. They took over the apiary from Ágnes's father, along with all the knowledge he had gathered over the decades – and the two of them have carried it on ever since, today both as registered small-scale farmers (őstermelő).

    What the bees give

    Ágnes and László still look after their bees with great love – and everything the bees give: honey, bee pollen, propolis and royal jelly. For them, this isn't a job to get through, but a way of life in which the bees set the pace.

    More than honey

    Bees give us more than honey: as pollinators, they are essential to gardens, orchards and wildflowers alike. That's why Ágnes and László take not only their honey to the market, but the bees' message too – they're always happy to talk about them at the stall, and it's also why our Learn section came about.     Where can you meet us?

    • Garay tér market (Budapest, District VII, Garay tér) – Tuesday to Saturday, 7:30 – 15:00
    • Havanna market (Budapest, District XVIII, Havanna housing estate) – Saturdays, 7:00 – 12:00
    • Pickup at our home base – by prior arrangement only, as it isn't a shop.

    How can you order our honey?

    We don't have a web shop, but we do have a shopping list: write down what you'd like and send it to us in one email. You can also order by phone or with your own email. We get everything ready, and you collect it wherever suits you. We reply in English, German and Hungarian.

      We confirm with the prices and agree where you'll collect it: from our home base, at the Garay tér or Havanna market, or we deliver to your door. You can pay in cash, by card or bank transfer, and cash on delivery for home delivery.
